Carer's Rights Guide

Free Carers Rights Guide

Looking after someone 2010/11 :

a guide to carers’ rights and benefits

Carers have certain legal rights to benefits and other help. Carers UK is aware of many carers who do not know about their rights or how to get help. Every year £840 million of carers’ benefits are unclaimed. Carers UK is here to make sure carers know about their rights and the help available to them. This guide sets out what rights carers have and how they can get:
  • financial help
  • practical help
  • help with combining work and caring.

‘Caring for your income/pensions
and your health‛
And A Variety of therapy taster sessions
When giving up work to care, a carer’s first
thought is not about their pension, but about
managing care and making ends meet.
Without the right advice carers could be missing
out on:
· vital contributions to their state pension which
could affect long term finances
· claiming entitlements to extra financial
support.
Come along and find out more information on
how you can maximize your income/pension.
Organisations who provide information, advice
and services to carers will be at the day to offer
advice and support.
We would also like to hear your views at the
Carers Forum.
We hope you can attend,
bring a friend if you wish.
We can help with travel and
replacement care costs
